Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted June 28, 2020 You many be feeling hungry because of the return of the hunger hormone ghrelin. There is also the possibility that you are not eating sufficient to sustain your body's basic needs. You may want to start tracking your calories, see where you are at and you can go from there. Prestonandme 107 Posted June 28, 2020 I'm a year out and I have occasional days where I experience a lot of hunger. I stave it off by drinking Water frequently and, if the hunger pangs continue, eat small portions of low calorie, filling Protein every three hours or so. I use MyFitnessPal to gauge my caloric intake and make sure I don't exceed my daily goal. If you are really concerned about gaining weight or stalling, you may want to start logging food daily. It truly helps.
New&Improved 1,780 Posted June 28, 2020 I'm only 8 months out but If I have certain carbs it will mean hunger
Suzi_the_Q 257 Posted June 28, 2020 Have you tried chia seeds in Water? They're kinda slimy but very filling and a good source of Omega 3, Calcium, Iron, and Fiber. They expand in your stomach a little and help you feel satisfied.
catwoman7 11,220 Posted June 28, 2020 I still track at five years out because if I don't monitor myself all the time, my weight starts going up (been there...). When I have those days when I can't control my hunger, I'll turn to Protein, fat, or fiber to help stop the snacking, since they're all pretty filling. But I make sure that I stay within my calorie range. if I'm already at or near the top of my range, then I'll eat raw veggies, grapes, or things like sugar free Jello or sugar free popsicles. Or I'll start drinking a lot (water, tea, Crystal Light...). Or I'll try to get engrossed in something to keep my mind off of it - or go outside to walk or ride my bike if it's nice out. Or I've also been known to just put myself to bed if it's getting somewhat close to that time "anyway"....
