JanJan19 205 Posted June 26, 2020 I’m a year post surgery & this idea just occurred to me. I was feeling like my Protein Bars were piling up because at this stage I’m not eating them as often & there’s so many times I want just a couple bites. Finally it occurred to me to chop a few up into 12 cubes & dump them together into a stay fresh container. If I grab 3 pieces that’s 5G of Protein & about 45 calories. 8 2 GreenTealael, Lanie992, sdjohnson7 and 7 others reacted to this
PlanetHopper 86 Posted June 26, 2020 This is a pretty good idea. I will try this. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
Recidivist 1,141 Posted June 26, 2020 I love Quest bars and ate them for Breakfast once I got to maintenance. I found them quite filling and satisfying, and they are a reasonable amount of breakfast calories during maintenance. However, your idea is also great--certainly better than choosing less healthy snacks!
rmedina1 1 Posted June 26, 2020 Quest bars also taste good as a baked snack, on occasions I will cut a bar into 8 pieces and bake for 3-4min at 400degree really tasty 1 danyelleb reacted to this
mil_unloaded 80 Posted June 26, 2020 Which flavors do you guys recommend? I know sometimes it can be hard to find a truly great flavor of Protein bars. I’m barely having my first consultation on Monday, but I’m liking trying to do research now on ways to get more protein, as I’m a vegetarian. So I welcome any suggestions that can increase protein in ways I didn’t think of (I’m drinking Protein Shakes now, too)!
