Activeurit 10 Posted June 25, 2020 HELP! I recently had gastric bypass, 6/16 to be exact. It's been 10 days and I have only lost 10 lbs is this normal? How much weight have you lost so far? Btw I had my 1st bowel-movement today for the first time since surgery, I feel like I should take magnesium citrate to get cleaned out..... but I'm just scared- I honestly don't want to make things worse. catwoman7 11,221 Posted June 25, 2020 I lost 16 lbs the entire first *month*. So yes, it's normal. Unless you're the size of someone on My 600 lb Life, you'll likely lose 15-25 lbs the first month. There are some who lose more than that, but they're the exception. You're doing just fine. 1 Activeurit reacted to this
Activeurit 10 Posted June 25, 2020 My doctor said the same thing, guess I had to hear it from someone that's going thru the journey. 1 catwoman7 reacted to this
