How can I get a revision gastric sleeve approved? Had my surgery August 2018 started at 248 lowest at 170 and now I’m up at 195. I can’t seem to loose any more weight. But I don’t know how I would be able to get a revision.  Any suggestions?

About the only way you can get revision is serious GERD. But weight gain that soon after sleeve may indicate to some surgeons you aren't ready to undergo another procedure. Check with your bariatric center and see if what you are eating is contributing to weight gain. (are you back to old habits like soda, fast food, junk food, snacking, grazing, etc,). Also be aware that some medications can cause weight gain. Check any meds you take for weight gain as side effect. You need to figure out what is really going on before considering surgery again. With the restriction gone from sleeve, your weight now depends on you and see what you can do to fix problem. Getting regular exercise?

You need to get back on the wagon. I honestly don't see how a revision could help anyone lose weight if they aren't following a program to begin with. You can do this please try and go back to clean eating. Have you tried the 5 day reset ?

When researching my revision, I remember seeing a 5 year period was required by my carrier between WLS.

My research suggests that revisions from sleeve tend to be either to DS or to bypass, with a very few being a resleeve done in certain cases, such as if the sleeve was oversized or defective in some way. At your current weight (assuming it is still less than 35 BMI?) I don’t know what the requirements might be unless you have serious Gerd or other issues?

I know regain is a legit reason but I don’t know if they make you wait or what. Do you know why you have regained?

From what my insurance says for revision due to weight gain, it must be over 2 years since first surgery, and less than 50% excess body weight loss, and following the nutrition guidelines for weight loss since the operation. Good luck!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
