Kristi schumann 3 Posted May 28, 2020 I had gastric sleeve 5/18/2020 my weight loss has been pretty good. About 2 lbs per day. My total loss since surgery is 16 lbs. I have been struggling with getting my fluids down and I’m noticing that my pulse is running high, especially in the evenings. My pulse is usually in 70s and right now it’s bouncing between 100-110. Could this be from dehydration? The only weird thing is I notice it more at night... I’m currently trying to sip and get some Water down.
Katheryn0303 48 Posted May 28, 2020 Sounds exactly like dehydration. Of course talk to your dr. But in the meantime, sip sip sip.
TexasHeathen 12 Posted May 28, 2020 I am having the same issue. Sleeved 5/13. It’s damn hard to get all this liquid in and I have a new symptom of waking up with really dry eyes as if I slept with them open or something. I get the racing heartbeat throughout the day but noticed it sometimes during exertion like unloading the groceries or helping getting the kids ready. I also wasn’t taking my Vitamins yet and I am waiting on them to arrive so I went to the store to get some Centrum chewable. I figured normal folk vitamins were better than none. I am also making sure I get a Gatorade zero in. Only had two episodes today so I think I’m on the right track.
Kristi schumann 3 Posted May 28, 2020 I got one of the 1L bottles of smart Water down and it took my pulse down to 70s.. WOW that’s crazy! Definitely going to try harder to keep sipping. I see my doctor tomorrow
NovaLuna 710 Posted May 28, 2020 I had issues getting Fluid down since early on in my surgery so I make sure that I drink things with electrolytes such as Gatorade Zero, Propel, Smart Water, etc. It's helped. Before I was lucky to get 16 oz down and now I can get around 50 oz. My best day I got 68 oz.

I had this too in the early months. It didn't even occur to me until I read your post that it could have been dehydration! P.S. my dry eyes went away eventually (can't remember exactly when), but I kept eye drops at my bedside to moisten them in the morning when it was happening. I remember being barely able to see some mornings... Edited May 28, 2020 by ms.sss
