I skipped my weekly weigh in last week given the aftermath of blacking out and my bouncing my head off of my kitchen floor. Weighing in seemed like the least of my concerns. Of course, I haven't exercised in 8 days at this point since it seemed wise to focus on healing and I am pretty sure I'm suffering from a mild concussion, so I didn't want to exacerbate things. Was kind of dreading hitting the scale this morning.

Except that I have hit my final weight goal of 180lbs. I'm actually below it by 1.6 pounds. I'm kind of in shock right now (in a good way!) as it's been just under a year since I started this particular journey. I never expected these kinds of results but am absolutely thrilled by them.

So if I could just do something about the orthostatic hypotension, that would be the icing on the cake!

First off Congratulations 🍾🎊! Second I hope you’re feeling better and please take care of yourself. I am very happy for you ! Way to go good for you👏

I just had my 6 month follow up and I have lost 51 lbs since the day of surgery. I am no longer considered obese! My BMI is 28.2. I now can start the process for my kidney transplant. Surgery date was 7/22/2020.

Well I have officially found Onederland! I got on the scale his morning and almost freaked out and woke everyone up when it said 198.0. Yes I did it . I have not been below 200lb since elementary school age. Crazy I know. I have found exercise I actually am happy doing and can’t wait to get out of be and do everyday. I bought a sunny health spin bike and downloaded the Peloton app and I am obsessed big time. I now look forward to waking up at 5:30 am and exercising. Wow! I still have 48lbs to hit my goal weight but I think I am just know starting to enjoy this journey. So how is everyone doing? This chat has been pretty quiet for a long while. Hope everyone is great and experiencing great things on there journey.

I’m so pleased to hear that y’all are doing so well, @Swjtes and @IWantTheDream! Congratulations on your progress. I can’t believe that it’s been over 6 months!!! I have also managed to drop below the 200# mark (about a week ago), and I’ve lost over 100 lbs. it’s weird to think that I’m way closer to my goal than I am to my highest weight. Does that make sense?

I’m enjoying walking every day, and I’ve even started jogging. I never thought I’d do that! I love seeing and feeling the muscles that I’m developing in my legs. I’ve heard people talking about how pleased they are to see their collar bones again, but for me I think it’s my knees. LOL!

I’m happy for y’all!

Congratulations to everyone on all your amazing progress!! Wow! You're all doing fantastic.
I have lost 102 pounds since surgery and 124 overall, and I'm feel so good..I'm 268 now, and I hope I can get to onederland. I haven't been there since 1997! I weighed 263 when I got pregnant 10 years ago and I'm getting close to that!
At my 6 month check up all my labs were good, but most importantly my liver enzymes were close to normal. This made me so happy. Having NASH was the biggest reason I chose this surgery and I really feel good to see that it is working!

Congratulations 🎊 so happy to hear that you are almost at goal and doing great. I also bought a spin bike and signed up for Peloton app I love the classes. This morning it was supposed to be a rest day because I love doing the classes so much I very rarely take a day off so I make myself take a low impact class at least once a week so I did a Disney spin and was singing the whole time lol. Enjoy your bike . # JustKeepSpinning

Congratulations everyone! It is truly thanks to everyone on here that I was able to stay involved and engaged for this journey! It's not easy but I feel great! I'm not in w"one"derland yet, but I hope (if I can break this stall) I will be there before summer! I need to work out...but this pandemic and not going to the gym has really stalled me on that. Let's see if I can get motivated by your success! Thank you all!

I'm happy to see all these success stories! I have lost over 100 pounds since my surgery, and over 170 from my highest weight. I am literally HALF the person I was a year ago! I've been working out almost every day for several months, and I got a new Fitbit for Christmas that has motivated me to walk more. I got pretty bored getting 10,000 steps just walking around the house, so I've started taking walks around the neighborhood (1-2 miles) every day.

Woah... I just updated my weight on my profile, and I knew that would put my BMI under 30, but I still cried a little when I saw 29. This is the first time in my adult life that I am not obese! I can hardly believe it!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
