When I was off sugar except for natural sugar in an occasional piece of fruit, I did not miss it. I eat sweet stuff more often now, and I have to make myself not give in too often. I'm logging again and my sugar grams per day are sometimes single digit! Thank you! I had to get myself away from artificial sweeteners too. Before the WLS I was addicted to diet coke. I weaned myself off of it a few months before the surgery. Now I wouldn't even try to take a sip of it. I was so afraid I would crave it, and I honestly don't. 2 Tracyringo and StratusPhr reacted to this
Tracyringo 503 Posted October 24, 2022 Its been 2 1/2 years since my revision. Love the RNY so much better. My weight has been stable for over a year now closer to 2 years i would say. So all total i am over 5 years out from this journey and as far as the weight loss goes it was everything and more. I still have GERD ugh 1 Tomo reacted to this
redhead_che 824 Posted October 24, 2022 I’m just here to validate that yes, revision in my experience was much more painful than sleeve! 1 Tracyringo reacted to this

What do you think about the weight loss end so far? What part of Missouri are you in? I am in Springfield.
Tomo 1,194 Posted October 25, 2022 My revision was virtually painless. I had no pain, no problems, no side effects and the restriction is everything I have always wanted. My surgeon was excellent though. I wasn't even in the hospital 24 hrs. 1 Tracyringo reacted to this

Weight loss is slower than sleeve but I’m still ahead of the curve according to my surgeon’s office. -80 in 5.5 months with 75 to lose still. I’m in Saint Louis but both of my surgeries were in Kansas City where I lived when I started the sleeve journey. I was so comfortable with that office I went back for the revision instead of seeking a STL provider. I do follow with the Mercy system support group though! I know they have a Springfield location of that group too. 🥳 1 Tracyringo reacted to this
