Melanie Vandergriff 5 Posted May 16, 2020 hope I'm not getting too personal, but just want to ask you ladies. I am almost a year post sleeve and my monthly periods are all messed up. Every 2 weeks, skip a month, etc. Anyone else have monthly visitor issues?
JessLess 1,163 Posted May 16, 2020 Malnutrition can lead to amenorrhea (no or irregular periods.) Please go see your surgeon for blood work and your gynecologist to discuss. You can probably have both conversations with telemedicine and just got to get blood drawn. Good luck! 1 Melanie Vandergriff reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted May 16, 2020 that's pretty common the first few months because your fat cells release estrogen as you lose weight, but yea - I think that would have stopped (and stabilized) by now. But who knows. I'd agree to check with your surgeon or PCP just to be on the safe side. 1 Melanie Vandergriff reacted to this

A few years before surgery my period became very irregular, sometimes not showing up for months. I too thought i was pre-menopausal. My first period after surgery lasted almost two weeks. Since then, and presently (1.5 years post-op), i am regular like a clock and can pretty much predict what day it will show up....every 28 days. 1 Melanie Vandergriff reacted to this

I'm 50 I thought I was in menopause! Edited June 19, 2020 by CindyGH 1 JessLess reacted to this
