Sandra Nuelken 419 Posted May 3, 2020 It has been a journey, the last several months the hardest! The down 2 up 1 is driving me crazy after the dropping easier for the first 6 months. Now I struggle for 5 pounds a month. But today I'm going to sit back and enjoy the loss and feel very proud of myself. I never thought I'd be here a year ago. I was still trying to qualify for the surgery and gaining weight each day. Today is the start of my new me and new life. I can walk every day without knee pain and look forward to it too. For those of you thinking about it just do it. For those who think you are too old, I'm 73 and did it. Good luck to everyone out there and please stay healthy! 10 2 7 MichelleInNC, Cia2020, Miss215 and 16 others reacted to this
Recidivist 1,141 Posted May 3, 2020 Congratulations! And I see that you are only a couple of pounds from your goal weight, which is wonderful. That's quite an achievement in only nine months! I was 59 when I had my bypass, and I haven't felt this good in decades. As you say, it's never too late!

I will note the part of the message above which says "For those of you who think you are too old, I'm 73 and did it." Well, I'm 81 and did it GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU SANDRA. 2 TheMoxieMama and Bari_KS reacted to this

Ann777 16 Posted May 24, 2020 Congratulations! Your message and the comments are so inspiring. I'm scheduled for the sleeve on Tuesday. I was thinking my '56' age would make post op a lot worse But reading your posts have relaxed my nerves.
