DeadSpaceGrave 53 Posted April 2, 2020 I had my RNY back on October 16th 2019 and I started at 256lbs now I'm 170lbs. But my average monthly loss is roughly 17 pounds a month. Is this good or average ? My goal weight is 150. And I'm almost there. I am also 5'9" . Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted April 2, 2020 That's a great average and for your start weight good too, some will have an average that is higher, others lower...but it does depend on many things...start weight, age, gender, exercise, height and of course calories consumed. 2 CammyC and Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this
New&Improved 1,780 Posted April 2, 2020 You will find everyone is different... But personally by 6 months I lost around 140lbs but started at 322lbs. That's roughly 22lbs a month but I've worked hard on the diet been very strict.

I only had my bypass done in March, but in 2013 I had a sleeve done. By 6 months I had lost 80lbs. But again, that was a sleeve. Bypass may be faster. Also, to echo other comments, it all depends on the person. You’re young so it will come off faster. Lucky! 1 DeadSpaceGrave reacted to this
