GAjeepGirl 33 Posted March 24, 2020 So as a new RNY person, I'm ready to start tracking my progress a little more in-depth so that it helps me stay honest. Long ago I used to use "My Fitness Pal" but I've heard an awful lot about their calorie counts being very off (as in too low). I see that there is another one called "Baritastic". Does anybody have an opinion on which of these two they prefer...or perhaps if there is another one that I'm not seeing, by all means please shout it out - I'd really love to know how these might be supplementing our new insides! DanK 2 Posted March 24, 2020 There’s an iOS app called Lose It! that works for me. Not sure if it exists on Android. Large foods database, and it can scan UPC codes. 1 GAjeepGirl reacted to this
CammyC 291 Posted March 24, 2020 I use Baritastic right now but I’m not eating a whole lot right now other than eggs, cottage cheese and Beans. It’s seems to be user friendly so far.

Poached eggs are the only kind if egg I can manage to keep down - but man are they heavenly to me...but just like my Beans missing chips (LOL), I'd love to have a piece of toast with my egg! Perhaps one day soon...perhaps not... 1 CammyC reacted to this

Bari_KS 499 Posted March 25, 2020 I use Baritastic. It tracks my food and macros, has reminders, food recipes , i keep track of my poop with it and sync it with my FitBit Inspire to track my steps.
toodlerue 452 Posted March 25, 2020 The thing I don't like about My Fitness Pal is that it takes into account how much exercise you do and adjust your calories for it. To get it to not do that you have to pay $20 a month & that’s not worth it when there are other apps you can use to count just calories.

Cherry01 4 Posted May 22, 2020 I use YAZIO. Really great app! It has a free version which includes the calorie tracking and food database. I'm also not a fan of MFP. I switched to YAZIO and wouldn't want to go back. It's just so easy to use and I think it's accurate. If you want to sync fitness tracker or use the recipes and meal plans, there's a paid version, but I only use the basic one. You can check it out here: https://www.yazio.com/en/foods
