Ling82 21 Posted March 22, 2020 Anyone else have this feeling? I’m liquids only and every single sip feels like it’s stuck at the top of my stomach. Very uncomfortable and makes me burp. I’m 4 days post op. 1 CammyC reacted to this
JRT Mom 919 Posted March 22, 2020 Your stomach is probably swollen from your surgery causing that stuck feeling. Have you experimented with hot vs cold beverages? After my surgery I found that warm drinks went down easier than cold ones. But hang in there--you should find it a bit easier each day to drink. Good luck, it WILL get better! 1 Ling82 reacted to this
CammyC 291 Posted March 22, 2020 Yes!!! I remember that feeling! I’m 3 weeks now so it only does it every now and then. But I would take a sip and I would feel hit the top of my stomach and it felt like it would bubble. Then it would ache for a couple of seconds as it went down into my tummy. It gets better every day! 1 Ling82 reacted to this

ReinaMar 3 Posted March 22, 2020 I'm 12 days post-op and it does get easier. I agree to try experimenting with hot vs. cold. For me, I found I did better with cold liquids. Now, at 12 days, I can do both cold and warm. 1 CammyC reacted to this
