kvp 0 Posted November 29, 2007 Ok, I don't exactly know where to start but I will start with: Today I went for a consult with dr. Jay. He suggested I have the gastric sleeve procedure done. I have a history of healing complications and he advised this would bypass all of those possibilities. I have scheduled for the procedure on 12-4. NOW I AM FREAKING OUT. :help: anyone know anyone that has had this, what their success has been? all those other questions.

mbanja 1 Posted November 30, 2007 While this is a lap-band forum we are all here with the same goal in mind, so don't think we wouldn't offer support no matter what surgery you choose!!! Now thats not to say that the people on hear wouldn't lean more toward the band because that is what we know. If YOU and your doctor feel that the sleeve is a better option for you, you can't help that. I did research like most of the others and I am sure you, and I decided that the band was right for me but it might not be right for you! Which ever you go with I hope the best for you; but, be sure it is what YOU want and something you can live with. If at the end of all your research you still think the band is right for you, talk to your doc and find out if there is a way to work around the problems.
