Two big goals reached

Recommended Posts

I hit the hundred land goal and now none of my clothes have the "X" in them or a 2... in them. Prayers for all of you out there facing the challenges that face us in this time of stress. My son just lost his job, remember nothing is solved with comfort food and comfort eating. Hang in there and hang tough.

Wow! Congrats--you are doing great! And in an impressively short time, to boot.

Congrats! I'm looking forward to hitting onederland myself - I have about 11 pounds to go, so hopefully I'll hit it before the end of the month!

I'm also looking forward to purging my closets and shoes as time goes by. I did ages ago after my first surgery, but since I gained weight I had to buy clothes again 😞 so I'm looking forward to getting rid of them. I'll probably keep the stuff I really like and see if I can get them taken in so I can get a little more out of them.

Sandra congratulations on making it the 100’s! I’ve got about 20 pounds to go to get there. I haven’t seen that number at the beginning of my weight in way too long.

Also, sending positive vibes to you and your son. That sucks to hear about the job loss. We’re in uncertain times right now and it is very scary.

Congrats! Isn't it wonderful to be out of "X - land"? I'm finally there - my XL pants have serious baggy bottom, ha, ha. Time to try a large - love shopping at the Goodwill.

And good for you watching out for that stress-eating trigger - best of luck to your son. Due to the dramatic downturn in the market I've had to postpone much needed roof work on my home since I don't want to sell shares now. Luckily my contractor is fine with it - has other work but I imagine their business will be impacted by current events.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
