Mkak6 0 Posted March 15, 2020 Ok, so I’m 10 days post opp and today I ran 4 days earlier than my doctors told me to (14th). And idk if I’m just stressing or overthinking but my port isn’t exactly where the incision is and I think it might be lower than it was before. Is this a known issue, is this a big issue and should I call my doctor or am I just being paranoid.
chulachichi 7 Posted March 16, 2020 Hi! Yes it’s normal for the port to move/drop lower than incision. This too happened to mine b4 it finally settled down. So, unless u have pain or any discomfort; then YES STOP worrying/overthinking or let alone touching it. Ur gonna b fine n do well with it.👍🏼😊
ChristineMarie78 8 Posted March 20, 2020 It’s perfectly normal for the port to settle lower than the incision. I’m 12 yrs post op and mine is about half an inch lower than the incision. Mine also slightly rotated, no big deal they just have to press a little firmer and hold it in place for a fill.
