Yesterday i had my second fill. I drank the bottle of Water with no problems and had Soup for dinner, no problem there either. This mroning had some tea and that was fine, but had trouble when i tried to have my Cereal at Breakfast and my chickpea salad at lunch. I spit up a bit but it felt like it was getting stuck.

Is this normal the day after a fill? didn't have this problem on my first one...just wanna make sure everything's ok and i don't need a defill.

thanks!:help:

What you are experiencing is restriction. Slow down and see how it goes. If you can't eat more more than 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food then you are right. If you find yourself PBing then you are too tight. Hope this helps.

My doc requires that I stay on Clear Liquids only the first day and then full liquids the second day after a fill. There will be some swelling after a fill and this is to give it a chance to go down before introducing solid food again. Since you had a bit of trouble I would stick to clear liquids for another day and then take it VERY slow.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
