I feel the same way... I don't know if I regret this or not.

Just remember this is only a phase and isn’t forever! It’s my new mantra and it’s helped a ton!

So after having severe fatigue, today I have all sorts of energy, walked around the block, vacuumed my house. I’m feeling a burst of energy. Did this happen to anyone else? I’m 8 days post op, sleeve.

@MorganF, I was having the same problem but I had to quit the Protein Shakes and it stopped. I’m drinking a homemade strained Soup and going to find other ways to get the Protein in. I never could drink them even before surgery so I think all the artificial stuff makes me sick and causes disarray. Not sure if that’s your case but was mine.

I have lost 10 pounds in 8 days. I’ll take it, hope it keeps falling off quick, I’ve got 70 more to go.

18 days post op and on puree/soft foods...I have been measuring and trying to gauge how much I can eat but rather than just feeling full when I'm full... I feel like I'm going to explode! Maybe I need to slow down in eating so I can feel full before the "almost can't keep it down" feeling. Anyone have similar experience or suggestions?

Yes, I’ve had that experience as well. Some days even measuring doesn’t matter - it depends on what it is that I’m eating. I’ve started to only eat about 2/3 of what I’ve measured out. Then I wait about 5-10 mins, and if I don’t get that “I’ve eaten too much” feeling, I’ll eat the rest. Sometimes I don’t bother eating the rest even if I’m not full, but I try to if it’s rich in Protein.

Thanks@ResaRoo
I'm glad I'm not alone in that! I'm going to slow way down and maybe even cut back further.

I'm 12 days out been doing pretty good but I woke up in the middle of the night with a pain in the middle of my chest. Very uncomfortable and hard to go back to sleep. Was pretty nauseous all day today.

Hello! I had my RNYGB Feb. 13. I am progressing well. My little incisions are healed. I am having a hard time with the taste if anything sweet. Ugh. Also getting my Vitamins down without gagging is a challenge. For some reason the Protein Powder is a challenge so I have been getting most of my Protein with the special milks and Greek yogurt smoothies. I also found pureeing légume Soups worked great for me, though I am getting tired of them. I am down 30 lbs today since January 29, and am freezing all the time, especially my hands and feet. I sleep with fuzzy socks now! Lol

I find I’m cold most of the time now, too. Especially just after eating.

I had surgery 2/19. I’m also cold all the time when I used to be the opposite. Back to work for me on 3/13. Hoping I’m ready!

Ya the Protein Shakes have been hard for me. Greek yogurt goes down easy. Try those Protein isolate drinks that are more like juice. Isopure and syntax nectar. Those have been going to easy for me.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
