Hey guys, I’m hereeee 🤗 10 days out and feeling pretty great. I can drink everything as if all was normal but try to pace myself. I’m on purée and I’m usually full at about 2oz. Mostly I’ve been eating puréed chicken breast with garlic roasted hummus or refried Beans with some cheese and guacamole. I’m not sure what I want for dinner tonight. It’s so weird to see such small portions and there are times where I wish I could eat regular food in regular portions. I noticed I really enjoy watching my husband enjoy his food. It’s weird but so satisfying.. I’ve been trying to get all Of this into a routine.. not really having luck with that yet. What are your routines like?

I'm having a hard time drinking Water and Protein Shakes, anyone else? but I can drink gatorade and greek yogurt pretty easily.

I find the Protein Shakes taste awful now. Just have to power through them.

Is anyone else losing really, really slowly? The scale is moving downward, and I can tell my pants are much looser, so I know I’m making progress. But at the current rate of weight loss, I’m only at about 1.5-2 lbs a week. I don’t know if this counts as a stall, since I haven’t yet had a big drop in weight. Is anyone else experiencing the same? It’d be nice to know I’m not alone.

I too am here!!! I had my surgery 2/28. Things have been pretty good! No nausea or vomiting. I'm just tired of these Clear Liquids and I have another week to do...This is insane LOL.

My sleeve was complete on the 27th, released 2 days later due to severe spasms when drinking. My surgeon did not want to release me from fear of dehydration. I'm finally home now, today is my last day of Clear Liquids. Full liquids during next 16 days then progress to soft foods. I still struggle to get in 96 ounces of liquids. The surgeon repaired a hernia that he said would've been bad if not repaired.

Blended vegetable Soup is on my list of full liquids. Does anyone have any blended Soup recipes? I don’t have a blender but willing to purchase one. Also, please share what has gotten you through this stage. I'm not hungry per se but I'm ready for the change in foods.

I wish that I could move to full liquids!

We have the same surgery date! It looks like you've lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks; that is way better than I'm doing; 12 pounds in 3 weeks. I was getting on the scale every day, I'm now going to just weigh on Mondays.

Wow, that does seem like a long time on clear liquids; I had Protein Shakes starting the next morning, although I could not get it down. Good luck! Can you tolerate broth? That might give you a little break.

It's all of the fluids that you were given in the hospital. My weight was higher after surgery and stayed that way for about a week. It'll go away.

I am definitely in the slow losers club. I'm 2 weeks out today and have lost only 6 lb. I am not obsessing. I know it's a process and my body will lose on it's on pace. I remain positive.

Checking in on everyone's progress. I definitely am depressed more now than ever. Thinking what have I done. I know it's part of the process but it sure does suck. Can't wait till I can at least have soft foods.

I'm a week out today so tomorrow I get to chew on my Vitamins and calcium chews, sick of these liquids.

Yes, it’s 26 lbs now. But 25 of those were post op. I gained after surgery and it took 2 weeks to lose that. Now I’m down almost 2 lbs below my day or surgery weight. Aunt Flo just paid her monthly visit, so I’m not expecting any loss for at least another week. Blah.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
