Post rny throw up

Just curious for those post RNY have you thrown up? Preop I was a violent upchucker - bruised my throat once... but 18 months post op had my first almost upchuck. Got the sweats and felt queasy but didn’t pray to the porcelain god. What’s it like post op???

I have thrown up twice post RNY. It seams like it wasn’t as much because my stomach is smaller now.
I had a different stomach surgery 12 years ago (Fundilipacation) I was told them that I shouldn’t throw up for at least a year because I could rip something. That has always been in the back of my mine after the RNY. I’m almost 2 years out so I’m not as worried now.

No I can't or do I want to throw up. It's been a wild ride but no I cannot throw up. I have had a few times I thought I may throw up but it never happened, I don't even hiccup! I have the VERRIPS occasionally but as time goes by that is even less. All is good but life is different from before OP.

I am a master champion at throwing up! But i will say it usually is when i eat out, or cross the line. I have a hell of a time sitting and eating - Add some food sprays or pan coatings and its coming right back up. That is the problem with alot of us - Doc says its just your body saying NO GO - Not putting that chemical or garbage in me anymore.

throwing up after surgery is a lot easier than it was before. For one thing, your stomach doesn't hold very much, so there's not much to come up. For another, there's not nearly as much acid in your stomach after surgery, so you don't get that horrible taste in your mouth. Although I wouldn't go so far as to say that vomiting is now "pleasant", I certainly don't dread it as much as I did pre-surgery.

P.S. I did throw up a lot the first couple of months while getting used to my new system and figuring out what kinds of things I could tolerate, but now I probably throw up about as much as I did pre-surgery, i.e., rarely.

I did throw up a couple times post op but just the foamies, not a full blown exorcist hurling that I was pre op - that is what I fear - dry heaving and the likes. Thanks for the replies. I’m sure one day I’ll get the the flu or something and it will happen just curious what others have been through ahead of me.

I've thrown up a few times. Foamies and dry heaving until the chunk of food or whatever was stuck comes up. I had the fun experience about a month and a half out of surgery where I had food get stuck and it took two hours of vomiting every five minutes before it could actually come up.

I am 2 yrs 4 months out They never tell u puking will never be the same when I throw up it jus looks like pink slime. You have to gag up ur puke. And when you drink alcohol and you feel so sick you try to throw up and you can not no matter how hard you try. Surgery was worth it and u will get usta the way you throw up but I wish there was alot more info lol

it evidently varies between people because that's not been my experience at all. Mine is very normal - just a lot less of it at a time and it doesn't have that horrible taste.

I never threw up before surgery and then after surgery all the time, UNTIL they stretched out my stoma with a second surgery. Everything was getting stuck. Throwing up was a feeling of queasiness with a "stuck" feeling. Drinking Water or anything would make it works. Then it would come up with a bunch of "slime" which was basically like gobs of saliva (sorry this is gross!) and the food. No bile so no bile flavor, just this. It was easier to throw up as I would just basically have to bend over and gag a few times.

I have only thrown up a couple times since surgery. For me it happens in stages, foamies then the immediate need to throw up or pass out. Very uncomfortable feeling for me. When I actually vomit it kinda just slides right on up and out, no violent heaving like before.
