Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted March 1, 2020 I have a massive sweet tooth, best thing I have found is cold turkey. There will be a few days of horrible cravings but once that is over, things improve immensely and the need for a sugar hit has gone. Find ways to distract yourself when the cravings hit, something that occupies your mind and hands. Make sure nothing in the house to tempt you. I don't know how far how post op you are but maybe go back to some basics...protein, non starchy veges, etc and lots of good fluids. 2 1 catchthewind, Melanie Vandergriff and AZhiker reacted to this
mgt3boys 24 Posted March 2, 2020 I have the same issue. I’m 5yrs post op and the sugar cravings the last 2 yrs are unbelievable. I wish i would never have introduced it back into my diet. I’m currently trying to cut back little by little this week and cold turkey next week.

After a while (it may be more than a few days...) the craving will subside.
