Anyone drinking ACV for better digestion, general health benefits, weightloss, etc?

I just tried some and WOW I'm not a fan 😖Perhaps my delivery method (straight w/ lemonade chaser) is at fault?

Thoughts? Gripes? Solicitations?

I certainly wouldn't be drinking it straight...damage to teeth.

Mix with some warm Water and perhaps a little amount of honey if your stomach can handle honey.

This one in particular is not pure ACV only. It has a few things to make it more palatable but still...

Have you tried any ACV drinks? How did it go?

I have and always diluted with warm Water and sometimes honey. Not sure any of the additions in your ACV would make it more palatable. Due to the acid content I can't see that they would make the vinegar any easier to drink unless diluted.

I use it in moderation, but because I am healing from an ulcer, I don't use it straight. I know it is supposed to be helpful with acid reflux and digestive problems, but everything I read says to avoid in cases of ulcers. Soooooo..... I use it when making salad dressings or cooking, and on cooked greens.

Sooooo

I've noticed by drinking a little (mixed into something) almost every morning since Feb 28th that it speeds up digestion and evacuation 😳

Also not super certain its related but *may* have an additional weight loss effect because I'm close to the low end of my weight window again, despite eating whatever I want.

*I also resumed a Protein Shake per day again so I'm meeting the reqs & not just eating carbs but this did not replace a meal

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
