aidaelizabethh 3 Posted February 28, 2020 Hi, I opened up this forum because maybe I can find someone here who understands or probably been through the same. Before my WLS i was an extremely happy person. After my WLS i am extremely unmotivated, sad, I tend to have out burst, I cant seem to socialize, at times a bit bitter, and lets not forget EXTREMELY INSECURE. I kept hoping as months passed it would get better but it hasn't its probably worst. I began seeking help and going to therapy 2 weeks ago, I just want to know if anyone else felt like this and how they dealt with it and how long does this feeling last. Thank you 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
Kimberly3 71 Posted February 28, 2020 I definitely felt that way! Now I had mental health challenges pre surgery. I am bi-polar but have been stabilized for years on medication. Post surgery I was miserable for several months, not totally out of it but definitely better. Your body goes through such enormous changes I was snappy impatient sad angry Regretful you name it. My surgery was a few weeks after yours. I still struggle my doctors says it's hormnes readjusting. Hang in there, it will get better! 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
