Heyyyy I’m going through same thing and I had surgery about four weeks ago I’ve lost 20lbs also and I’m at a stall. I was told this happens around this time so keep doing what we doing and it will eventually end. I been getting on treadmill for about 20 mins and following my diet plan per doctor. Hang in there😊Good Luck✨ 1 1 1 Mizztiterita, ronit1e and NewEnglanderGal reacted to this

So lets just say you are a month out! It is all about the math! So time for AJ the proffessor to give you a math lesson 20 pounds in 4 weeks is 5 pounds a week So lets take a look at this 26 weeks from Now will be six months and if you stay on course you will have lost 130 POUNDS 52 weeks from Now will be one year and if you stay on course you will have lost 260 Pounds Or 30 Pounds under your goal! Like i said its all in the math and without the surgery you dang well know you would not be able to stay with the math I have posted this same thing many times for many, It makes sense this is a journey Not a freakin sprint! Stay on course and Do Not let the Mind Games mess with you! 2 1 1 1 Mizztiterita, Katheryn0303, kswin79 and 2 others reacted to this
IAmGrace 79 Posted February 25, 2020 My daughter had bypass a year ago and she warned me against weighing myself every day...she said that it can be very discouraging when you reach a stall as you have described here.... I get my gastric sleeve tomorrow! Hugs to all Grace 2 Sabs211 and Mizztiterita reacted to this
Machalo 283 Posted February 25, 2020 Congratulations to you, @Mizztiterita and @kswin79 on your success so far! As AJ said, it will all work itself out in the end. Try to be mindful of all the changes you are experiencing. I'll bet you are losing inches even if the scales aren't moving. You are successfully following your plan. Have you measured to track the inches? I just started doing that to get my base before surgery, but it is something that was suggested to combat the inevitable stalls. Keep the faith, you're doing the right thing! Good luck, @IAmGrace on your sleeve tomorrow! Will be keeping you in thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted as you are able during your recovery! BadWolfGirl 245 Posted February 26, 2020 Why do i feel like i have not lost enough weight since surgery I've lost 20 pounds and i feel like am stuck there is anyone else going thru this??I'm almost 5 weeks out of RNY and "only" down 20. I am totally happy with this number. I'd rather lose slower and have my body recalibrate when needed and give my skin and nutrition what it needs - time to adjust. Also, I hit a stall at 3 weeks post op and it was when I saw the most dramatic changes in my appearance (neck and stomach) without even a pound down. Have you tried weekly pics or measuring? I think this will help you see that your body IS working and losing during the stalls, maybe just not on the scale. Here is a pic from week 3 to week 4 when I lost 0 pounds. GrungeGrownUp 10 Posted February 27, 2020 I have been told the faster you lose weight the more saggy skin you can have. So this might be a good thing and you have much if any sagging.Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
JRT Mom 919 Posted February 27, 2020 I had a major stall at three weeks. Don't deviate from your plan and the scale WILL start moving again! 1 1JoAnne reacted to this
Jessiejess1973 16 Posted March 28, 2020 This is what I refer to as the dreaded 3 week stall and it happens to almost everyone around 3 weeks. It can last for a week or a few depending on the person. Just keep doing what you are doing. You’ll wake up one morning and be 6lbs down! I’m in the stall now. I had a sleeve in 2013 so I have gone through this before and know it too shall pass. So far you’re doing a great job with your weight loss. Keep up the good work!! 1 1JoAnne reacted to this
Sabs211 51 Posted April 4, 2020 I'm 3wks out of a mini bypass on Monday and have only lost 14lbs. It's going a lot slower than I thought it would 😣
IAmGrace 79 Posted April 4, 2020 Quote Please define a "mini bypass" for me. I don't know what that means. Thank you. Grace
