JRT Mom 919 Posted February 21, 2020 Sounds like gastroesophageal reflux from your sleeve. Try not to eat or drink close to bedtime, maybe raise the head of your bed or sleep on a couple of extra pillows. Hopefully after the swelling in your stomach goes down the Fluid will stay where it's supposed to be! 2 Tracyringo and breavsg reacted to this

I agree, I coughed like crazy after surgery and kept the lady awake all night that was in the room with me. I have Gerd and that is when it started. Good luck 1 breavsg reacted to this
shannondvd 5 Posted February 21, 2020 Hi Tracyringo, thanks. Each night seems to be a little bit better. I never heard of GERD and looked it up. I never had acid re flux or anything like that until after my surgery. I take Prilosec daily in the morning and last night I also took one before bed. Still woke up coughing but I slept longer before it started. It is painful and pretty scary. I don't eat or drink anything after 6. Bless you and congrats on your journey. 2 Tracyringo and breavsg reacted to this

It was my 3rd PPI that took care of it. Have you talked to your Dr. about trying a better PPI ?
hmills653 365 Posted February 22, 2020 Sounds like reflux. Are you on an acid reducer?
