@MarvelGirl25; Some of the Fairlife shakes have very high carbs; some have lower, but then you end up with less Protein. Here is a label from one of their chocolate shakes: you'll see it has 11 g of Sugar and 17g total carb. Some are even higher! If the above one is for a shake, I'd love to try it, because the milk is really tasty.

I have no clue which shake that is but the one I drink with only 5g of sugar and 26g of Protein is this one:

There is also another with 42g of protein and 8g of sugar which isnt bad

My nutritionist warned about the Core shakes because of the 26g of sugar. However, the milk has more Protein, more Calcium and less sugar than regular milk, and I like the taste. She had no problems with the milk. I use the 1%, and I use it to make cream of wheat, and I have also made a Protein Shake with Iconic Protein Powder.

I want to try this how is the no fat milk is it chalky texture

Update!! I tried the Fairlife Nutrition shakes, Delish!! Fairlife Core is just as delish!! But I can only find them at BJ's and Amazon. Amazon is pricey for it. Its only $16.99/12 pk at Bj's. Now I feel like I could get through the pre-op diet stage drinking these. I could see me drinking these for rest of my life! I honestly can not believe this is a Protein drink!! They taste just like regular chocolate milk!! The fairlife vanilla core tastes like melted icecream!!

If you like Starbucks espresso then get 3shots of espresso over ice in a venti cup with 4 pumps of sugar free vanilla and then pore your vanilla fairlife over it . This is heaven in a cup and it’s my morning Breakfast every day.

Do you use the entire Fairlife vanilla shake in the cup ?

Sent from my LM-Q730 using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes I do put the whole bottle in but you could pour in as much or as little to match your taste.

Fair life taste light not chalky or overly sweet. Don't bother my stomach making me feel like I have to use the bathroom. Low sugar and low carbs. 30 grams of protein...ill pay a little more for a quality pritein.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
