Dee2938 71 Posted February 18, 2020 I’m 5 months out and I’ve stalled out (it’s been about 2.5 weeks with no loss). Is this it? Can I hope to loose more or am I done? When did you stop loosing after gastric sleeve. st w 238, CW 185. SD 9/19/19 1 Gucci2018 reacted to this
GradyCat 3,695 Posted February 18, 2020 You'll keep losing for 12-18 months. It's just a stall. Hang in there and stick with the program. 1 lyladyp reacted to this
Lynda486 784 Posted February 18, 2020 I had my surgery 2 days before you. I thought I might just be done losing also, until I went extreme with Protein and upped my calories to 1100 and the scale moved!
catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 18, 2020 I'm an RNY patient, but I finally stopped losing at around 18 or 20 months out (can't remember - it's been awhile). It does slow down quite a bit after the six-month mark, though (and even more after the one-year mark) - and stalls (at least for me) became more frequent and lasted longer. There were several times I thought "this is it", but then the weight loss would start up again... 1 Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this
Miss Liss 14 Posted February 25, 2020 I stalled at month 6 and continued to stall for 3 months until I tried Intermittent Fasting. It helped get the scale moving again! 1 FluffyChix reacted to this
hmills653 365 Posted February 27, 2020 I stalled at 6 months and had to go very strict with my diet to lose again, but pretty much stuck there since.
