Xx1jpt5xx 93 Posted February 13, 2020 Any deal with chronic pain before and still after surgery? I have surgery in two weeks and this has been on my mind. I have chronic pain in my back. I fractured a vertebrae and had to have a lumbar fusion a few years ago. I also have some bad discs in my neck that hurt like hell the past 2 years. I'm hoping the surgery helps but I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to cope since food became my go to.
Lynda486 784 Posted February 13, 2020 I am a chronic pain patient. I also have a lumbar fusion and had previous cervical surgery as well as a non operational thoracic spine issue. I also have arthritis and bursitis and fibro. I will say that over all I feel a lot better. I have lost almost 60 pounds. We had a weather system go through two weekends ago and I could hardly get up the stairs. Tuesday I had injections into my hips fr bursitis and feel 100% better. So, yes over all I would say it helps for sure, and I expect there are some long term benefit I will see in the future. Best of luck on your journey!
