kristieshannon 1,668 Posted February 10, 2020 I had my VSG in August of 2019. Overall I’m thrilled, I’m approaching 90lbs down. I’ve got more energy and am running at the gym 4-5 nights per week. However, I’ve had repeated colds since surgery. I’m a nurse in a large public health hospital. Due to this over the years I’ve developed a pretty Iron clad immune system, rarely getting sick prior to surgery. I take my Vitamins every day, drink my Water, get in 75-85 grams of Protein daily and add in as many veggies and a little fruit as I can. I see my Dr. for my six month follow up later this week and will ask about it, but I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I average about 750 calories per day. I wonder if the big deficit is leading to a decrease in immune ability. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 10, 2020 most people report getting sick LESS often after surgery - so not sure. I'd ask your doctor during your follow-up appointment, as you mentioned. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
