breavsg 90 Posted March 12, 2020 I feel pretty great too! Energy is great. My surgery was 1/27 so I'm six weeks out. I definitely still have a hard time eating slow and definitely can't handle any breads or things. A 39 year habit of scarfing meala down is hard to break haha. And I fricken hate cold food.Surgery weight was 246. Today I was 221 so 25 lbs down. I don't seem to be losing as fast as everyone else on her but I am weight training and do eat natural carbs and sugar. I'm okay with a slower loss because I feel the way I eat will be sustainable and healthy long term. Congrats on your success! Sent from my Pixel 3 using TapatalkOh I hear you on the eating fast habit.... super difficult to break! Sounds like you're doing great though just think next summer we'll be hot stuff! Miles in the UK 17 Posted March 12, 2020 Checking back in after a few weeks off the app. I am doing well, eating is a lot easier now, I am able to eat most things and apart from some gentle pain saying I have eaten too much (corn wrap with chicken, cream cheese and some diced onion almost destroyed me). Loss seems to be going well, was signed off by the surgeon. Went swimming at the weekend but wore a pair of old shorts that haven't fitted me for 3 years, they almost fell off as soon as I got into the water... awesome! Felt good. Keep it up January Folks, looks like everyone is doing well. 5 Ostflicka, breavsg, rene50 and 2 others reacted to this

BadWolfGirl 245 Posted March 12, 2020 I mean, I'm not sure there's a less photogenic photo of my face, lol, but this is my six week week progress pic. 25 pounds down from surgery Jan 27 (surgery weight 246, current 221). My clothes are all starting to get loose. But I'm living in leggings and hoodies for now. I don't want to waste money continually buying clothes. I'm less afraid to try new foods and I'm obviously eating a lot better than during stupid pureed stage. I've had chicken thighs, lamb, ground beef, and I'm going to try chicken wings today. Not sure on my weight loss cause no scales on vacation, but I'll weigh myself next week. Glad everyone is doing well! You all look awesome! 2 breavsg and Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this

Mitsu531 12 Posted March 12, 2020 How is everyone??? Tomorrow makes 9 weeks since surgery (crazy it's gone so fast) for me, and overall I'm feeling fantastic. My bones ache less, I can chase my toddler farther and faster, and I just feel better in my body again! Clothes are getting loose but I'm waiting to make any big purchases until the ones I have look like crap lol.. anyhow, I'm female, 5'6", started pre op diet at 260, surgery weight was 249, and I've made it down to 210 as of yesterday. Can't wait for more of this progress!! Hope everyone is doing well, can't wait to see the new us in a couple more months.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J327AZ using BariatricPal mobile app8 weeks post op today. Overall feeling pretty good. Learning what I can handle is a bit challenging at times. I definitely eat too fast! A life of eating on the go is hard to change, but I'm learning sometimes the hard way!! Started at 238 day of surgery, now 203!! 35 lb.'s down....at least 30 more to go!! I'm loosing slowly which I'm okay with. I made this choice as I've been on diets my whole life. Recently Dr. put me on meds for heart, cholesterol and diabetes. I dont want to rely on meds to keep me going, upon discussion with my Dr.'s the surgery was a good option. I've already been taken off of cholesterol and heart meds!! Diabetes meds could have come off, but decided to stay on till next visit. Need to start weights as I'm seeing skin start to get flabby, using moisturizer all the time and Merderma on the scars to reduce them. Congratulations everyone on choosing this journey! Rodeo shut down, colleges suspended classes, local school districts suspended classes, wife was told to work from home. A lot going on for sure. 1 breavsg reacted to this

Lol I'm in California and you hear about new cases confirmed all the time... there was just two cases confirmed a few days ago in a nearby town and everyone in that town comes HERE to shop even though they're in two separate counties, but since I live in the foothills there isn't many places to shop so the biggest town in our county ends up as the shopping hub for several nearby towns outside our own county. I've taken the last week off of work due to back issues and I have to go back on Sunday, so I'm hoping I don't catch it since I work with the public!
