Medical complication travel insurance

Hello,

did anyone purchase some type of travel insurance that also included medical coverage in case of complications? Or 2 separate policies?
I’ll be going on 2/13/20.

I just used the free insurance my credit card offers but I did advise them of my op so that they could underwrite me.

Would you mind explaining more about how you did this? Was there an extra charge?

Yes there is an extra charge, I think I paid $45Aud. You contact them and they go through a series of questions and get back to you.
