Rolltide87 62 Posted January 16, 2020 Hey, so ive noticed there was 2 things I've eaten that caused really bad pain in the center of my stomach (area between ribs).. I'm thinking it's just something my stomach didn't agree with at all and maybe just created trapped gas?? I'm not sure but it does hurt and it takes about an hour or so for it to stop hurting. It's only happened 2 times since surgery (11/15/19)... Has anyone else had this happened ?? AJ Tylo 1,399 Posted January 16, 2020 Are you not drinking at the time of eating? Mix the two and it gets ugly for some. No drink for 20 min before eat
GradyCat 3,695 Posted January 16, 2020 Probably gas. Be sure you're not drinking while you eat. Separate drinking from eating by 20-30 minutes.

It's only been 2 times it's happened. I definitely don't want to mix the drinking while eating. I'm sure it's painful

catchthewind 12 Posted April 18, 2020 Upper abdominal pain after eating can also be caused by gallstones, which are common after extreme weight loss. Certain foods can trigger an attack. Sent from my SM-T820 using BariatricPal mobile app
