Thank you for this. It gave me how. Did you have to change stuff up to get past it or did you just go steady? I sometimes doubt the idea to shake it up a lot to get things moving along.

I didnt change anything, I did lose inches the entire time going from a 40 at the begining of the stall to a 36.

I didn't change much except I added a handful of Almonds. Excercise or not didn't seem to make a difference. Going from losing easily the first 4 months and dropping over 10 pounds a month, I just had to adjust that maybe 5 - 8 pounds a month was going to be the new standard. I'm sure measurements were changing, but I only own a ruler so they are hard to take. I'm sticking to the program and still very happy. Going down is better than up. Taking a month-long view is better than a daily view. You have done a terrific job and the last 20 or so are going to be the hardest. The end is so close. Keep it up.

Thank you. I'm trying to keep my head up and make it through this. It's so much more emotional than I thought it would be.

Thank you for this!! Just hit 4 months and stalling since Christmas and was freaking out!

If you didn't gain over the holiday's great job! My goal for December was to not gain weight. I had 3 big parties with all the great food and drinking that goes with it. Not only did I not gain I lost one pound. I look at it as great as a 4-pound loss. If you enjoyed the holidays and didn't gain consider it a win.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm actually 9 months out but started stalling at 6 months out. I've only lost 6lbs since October! I've just started intermittent fasting this week and am hoping it helps to get things started again. I also saw something about a "pouch reset". What does that consist of? Willing to try anything at this point! I still have 30lbs to go before I reach my 100lb weight loss and only have 3 months to do it 😕

I know that the weight loss slows down around 6-8 months. Per my surgeons office. I didn't expect a screeching halt. At least you are still seeing some loss!! That's a good sign!

I love having this forum to touch base!!!

there is not some magic to the 12 months.... Some lose it in 6/9/12/15/18 months etc. Mikey made it to goal in 3 months but he was well on his way before surgery

I seem to stall every few weeks. I was dropping like crazy initially now I will lose any where from 1-4lbs then sit at the same weight for 2-3wks before losing anything. I'm 3 months PO. I just keep following the plan. I did talk to my nutritionist and she told me to make sure I'm getting at least 800 calories a day. This doesn't happen for me a lot of days. Sure I could get that much if I ate crap. However, when I'm eating all my Protein for the day in healthy food I'm not hungry to keep eating. Lately I've been trying to get closer too 100 grams of protein to see if that helps.

Omg. Finally, the scale is moving again. That was honestly terrifying for me. I've lost 2 lbs in a week.

I have lost a total of 94 (I think) pounds!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
