MrsRobinson4411 5 Posted January 12, 2020 Anyone have any tips on how to mix unflavored Protein into Soups and oatmeal? I’m not doing right in that it gets clumpy and Gummy ?
summerset 5,265 Posted January 12, 2020 Mix it up with a bit of colder liquid first before you're adding it. 1 Uomograsso reacted to this
MrsRobinson4411 5 Posted January 12, 2020 Thank you. I’m about to make a vegetable Soup (craving my veggies) and I want to add some Protein to the pot so to speak. I will mix it cold. Thank you again!
GradyCat 3,695 Posted January 12, 2020 I've never tried that. Is this for you to find more ways to get Protein in?
MrsRobinson4411 5 Posted January 12, 2020 Yes, and vegetables! I added to my Soup, it thickened it but did not change the flavor so I’m good with it. 1 ImsexyandIknowit reacted to this
cajunredpanda 95 Posted January 13, 2020 How hot is the Soup? If it's over 140F it'll clump and get Gummy. I was able to mix Unjury unflavored into broth but it was below that temperature threshold.
Sammi_Katt 303 Posted January 13, 2020 I use Bone Broth Protein Powder instead of whey (I'm allergic to whey). It seems to do way better at high temperatures and doesn't go all Gummy. I mixed it into just finished boiling Soup and it did okay.
AZhiker 2,253 Posted January 13, 2020 I do not add it before heating, or it gets clumpy and bubbles up. I use a fork to mix it in after the Soup is heated.
