Has anyone figured out a good way to get the bubble layer out of our protein isolate shakes?

Hello friends! Just wondering if there is a good method besides buying a ninja with a vacuum setup. Thank you for your replies.

I guess it's easier to throw out a little Protein in the foam than to have to drink it. Yuck. Thanks.

Pour through a fine mesh strainer?

Fill it up to the top as much as you can before blending and you won't have the foam.

I mix mine in a shaker cup. As long as I put my fairlife milk in first and the powder in second, I don’t get any bubbles or foam. If I put powder first I do get lots of bubbles and foam.

I use Syntrax Nectar

Premake the night before. That stuff will settle and just stir it with a spoon or lightly shake.

Making it the night does nothing but make layers and on top still sits around a 3/4" of foam. I can stir back up, still foams on top.

I'm going to have to try some Syntrax Nectar sometime. I've got around 8 pounds of whey Protein Isolate unflavored powder, so it will be awhile.

Lol I bought a huge 5 pound container of unflavored 2 years ago. Big mistake on my case as I will never use it all.

the bp store here does have sample packs when you are ready to try it.

Yeah shaker cup is the best way to mix If it's still foamy then it's cheap brand.

I've tried many brands the good stuff mixes with out foam.

Thought I was doing good, 2 ingredients; whey Protein Isolate and less than 1% Sunflower lectin to prevent caking.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
