Yes, I was itchy and I still am. I use a lot of Gold Bond lotion, which helps. Stay hydrated. :)

Check your body for rashes. I got an entire abdomen rash after because I ended up being allergic to the surgical glue they used.

Itching is also caused by pain medicines.

Don’t think it’s that. I haven’t taken anything besides Motrin/Tylenol since day 2

Yes I was too. I upped my Water intake from 64 oz to 100 oz a day and I use Nivea skin firming lotion after every shower. It seems to work because I am no longer itchy and my skin looks and feels amazing.

The anesthesia can cause that too. I was really itchy on my belly and I remembered I had the same issue when I had my c-section. I knew it wasn’t pain meds as I didn’t take any after either procedure.

I was SUPER itchy post op starting at about 1 1/2 weeks out and it is starting to get markedly better now at a month out. My incisions were so DRY. I live in the midwest so we have very dry winters and it has been really hard not being able to put lotion on my belly

Ended up back at his office yesterday. It’s definitely an allergic reaction from the glue. Steroids for a week. 😢 So I asked about being really tired and occasionally dizzy. He said my body is getting used to less intake and the rapid weight loss. I’m down 20lbs as of today. They like a weight loss of at least 15 in first month so he said I’m an overachiever lol . All in all he was pleased with my progress

I have also been itchy on my hands and feet and by my neck. I have been using Alegre D cream which has helped. I am getting about 64-80 ounces of Water so I know I’m hydrated. I have been reading that being low in b-5 causes itchy hands and burning itchy feet sensation so I’m thinking of getting the B-50 Vitamins in the store on site. Good luck! I know this is driving me crazy. I’m down 14 pds and surgery date was 12/312019.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
