I've seen and heard so many different things. What can I eat that is different but is also in compliance at this stage.

Not everyone is on the same stage on day 23, are you on puree or soft food ? Tha answers will depend on that

That opens up lots of options, have you tried scrambled eggs, meatloaf, ground turkey taco meat, ricotta bake, roasted veggies ?

I've had scrambled eggs and roasted vegetables. But not the ground turkey, meatloaf or taco meat. Sounds good. I'm going to try it. thanks.

Maybe that will make it alittle more tolerable because I am a meat lover no matter how small the portion.

Be creative, anything you can do with ground chicken, ground turkey and lean ground beef, such as meatballs, burgers etc... I did chicken burgers with spinach and feta or broccoli and cheddar. Turkey meatballs with garlic and ginger, all good stuff

Also be creative with the eggs, deviled eggs, frittata, egg salad.....

How did you make out this weekend ? You can also do a shepherds pie with whipped cauliflower on top instead of potatoes, a ground beef or turkey chili with Beans, I also make a Pasta fagiola without the pasta but I add cooked ground beef instead. Just a few more ideas.....

Honestly, I at the same things over and over again. At one point I made a Ricotta bake and I made homemade chili. I alternated between the two for days.... but because it had been so long since I made my chili, and it had plenty of flavor... I loved it! With the chili, I cooked the veggies and Beans until they were soft. I also had ground beef in mine, but I tolerated it just fine with it was in Fluid (and chewed a lot). If you aren't allowed beef yet.. you could make chili without beef or some other flavorful Soup. I also loved tortilla soup (without the tortilla... but it does have all the good flavors), broccoli and cheddar soup.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
