Esophagus/stomach discomfort 2+months post op

Odd feeling when I have forgotten to eat Breakfast or when eaten too much (hate not cleaning plate) . It’s the same place that when you are extremely nervous before a test maybe or being winded is so higher than tummy button almost at boob height. It’s a horrible horrible feeling that I cannot relieve just have to wait out.
Is this familiar to anyone else with a Sleeve? How do I relieve this?

If it’s when you may have eaten a bit too much , could it be dumping syndrome ? I have had it , but couldn’t actually be sick . It’s the worst feeling .

Yeah, you likely ate too much too fast.

Waiting it out is the easiest thing to do, but you can also go for a walk and will go away faster (and you can get some exercise in :) )

P.S. can you try putting smaller portions of food onto your plate so you don't feel the need to "clean your plate" and risk over eating? You can always put more on if you are still hungry....

If I eat too much or the wrong foods (bread, tortillas) I get an uncomfortable full feeling from stomach up to throat and sometimes get what we call here "the foamies" where you throw up mucus but not food. Best to stop before you get that feeling by watching your portion sizes.

I’ve had that, NOT pleasant!

I really don’t eat more than 50g of food at a time anymore it’s just when it happens in the morning before any food that I can’t manage it. Sometimes a corner of a Protein Bar helps

So the foamies or as I call it a ball of slime. What causes that besides overeating? I’m having that issue now if I drink something, after I chew my Vitamins, or even take a bite of food. It gets stuck like right around my bra line area and I start beating that area trying to burp it doesn’t work and almost instantly it brings up the foamy stuff but no food 🤷🏽‍♀️ it’s concerning because it’s happening almost daily a couple of times a day.

I chew small bites to oblivion and take small sips.

I only get it when it's something my stomach won't tolerate. A year post-op and I still can't eat steak, bread, pork chops, Pasta, or potatoes.

That makes sense so that may be more of my issues. I’m still learning what I can and cannot tolerate. Which seems to change daily 🙁😔

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
