Is rice considered a soft food?

Maybe but it is also a carb with little nutritional value. I personally would not eat it in weight loss phase.

This list may help you if you weren’t given one. Sure enough rice is listed under soft foods. It is not recommended on my plan though.

I do eat rice occasionally, typically with sushi but I didnt start until couple months after surgery.

My doc allowed rice after the 4 month post op mark, 1/4 cup brown rice

I was told a definitive and very big NO to rice. Try cauliflower/broccoli rice which is nutritious & won’t swell in your stomach. Remember we can only fit a small amount of food in our stomach so why waste the space on foods that offer no or little nutritional value.

Hell NO TO RICE - To early to carb and no value - Plus that swells up and you are going to be hating life!
