CubaRican73 33 Posted January 1, 2020 Is rice considered a soft food? Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
Losingit2018 1,170 Posted January 1, 2020 Maybe but it is also a carb with little nutritional value. I personally would not eat it in weight loss phase. 1 JessLess reacted to this
Losingit2018 1,170 Posted January 1, 2020 This list may help you if you weren’t given one. Sure enough rice is listed under soft foods. It is not recommended on my plan though. https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/gastric-bypass-surgery/in-depth/gastric-bypass-diet/art-20048472 1 Krimsonbutterflies reacted to this
New&Improved 1,780 Posted January 1, 2020 Too much carbs and it can also swell up and turn to glue in your belly...

Arabesque 7,459 Posted January 1, 2020 I was told a definitive and very big NO to rice. Try cauliflower/broccoli rice which is nutritious & won’t swell in your stomach. Remember we can only fit a small amount of food in our stomach so why waste the space on foods that offer no or little nutritional value.
