I haven't had that and haven't read about many people who have, but it gets sort of mixed reviews. Hope it works for you. Keep us posted - I'm interested in hearing your results.

I have an ESG (not as a revision) and am very happy with the result. This is a copy and paste from my doctor's ESG FAQ https://bmiclinic.com.au/endoscopic-sleeve-gastroplasty-faq/

  • ESG following gastric balloon: Recent research has revealed that people who’ve had a gastric balloon do less well following ESG in terms of weight loss. For this reason, we do not recommend ESG to anyone who’s has previously had a gastric balloon.
  • ESG following gastric sleeve: Endoscopic revision of a gastric sleeve is possible, however the weight loss that results is only approximately 10% of the baseline weight. There are likely more effective options which you can talk through with your Bariatric Specialist.
  • ESG following gastric bypass: Endoscopic suturing is possible via a procedure called TORe, Transoral Outlet Revision.

I was just looking into this a few days back. I'm 6 years out and 40 pounds of gain that's not really that bad but not really too happy with it. The out of pocket cost here is 6,500$ for it in and out the same day.

Yeah I just paid $900 to the doctor and 650 to the hospital although my copay is supposed to be 150. I am sure I'll get an anesthesia bill too. Yeah in and out same day. I had my gastric bypass in 2000 regained 100 lbs.

Don't waste your time nor money. I was basically on liquids a month and paid 11k for nothing. It never made me feel satisfied nor restricted I doubt it held but without getting an EGD again don't know. Very disappointing please look for something else. Sorry

yea I've seen similar posts on bariatric forums from others. People overall had not had much luck with these.

How fast things change.....I was definitely in denial when I wrote this post, I thought surely ESG failure wouldn't happen to me. I had a surgical sleeve mid March after finding out most of my suture had come undone.

I had mine done yesterday. I read mixed reviews. I figure if it helps me get back in weight loss mode it’s worth it. But my gastro dr who did it gave me a weird diet timeline. What is yours?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
