gailpiesco 6 Posted December 28, 2019 I just heard about this forum from my doctor, so I joined and wanted to introduce myself. I had my RNY nine and a half years ago. I heard about regain, but said, "That won't happen to me." For 6 years, I was logging my food, exercising regularly and weighing myself to stay close to my target weight. On July 3, 2016, I went for a run in the morning and got married that afternoon in a fabulous NYC wedding! Then, it all slipped away.... I was on a high! I ate and drank through Europe on an amazing two week honeymoon. Came back to more parties and celebrations and no exercise. Over the last three and a half years, my new normal changed so much. I recently stepped on the scale and BAM! I have gained close to 30 pounds! I'm in shock. I know I'll lose it, but its a reminder that I have to be very careful every.single.day. It's too easy to get caught up and undo years of hardwork. I’m happy to have found a new place for support and accountability and look forward to making new connections! 1 1 🌱VeGan❤️HeArT🌱 and Healthy_life2 reacted to this
🌱VeGan❤️HeArT🌱 97 Posted December 28, 2019 Welcome gailpiesco! Congratulations on your new life! I wish you happiness till the end of time! Thank you so much for sharing your story! What are some of the changes you plan to make? Or definitely go back to?
gailpiesco 6 Posted December 28, 2019 Thank you! First, I saw my surgeon, had my labs checked, saw a bariatric CBT psychologist and made a nutritionist appointment for Jan 7th. I’m reestablishing a support team and then going to see what changes I should make. I know my first two important steps will be logging my food and adding in regular exercise.
