Hey there. I experienced the same. At first I could not keep my Hands and feet warm It has gotten better over time though. Just be careful not to get sick or a cold because they can delay your surgery date.

If you find a good one send it to me please. Which Protein Powder are you using? I ordered a nutri ninja because, I'm not spending all that money on Premier Protein and others like. I'll just make my own.

I did order Unjury, per the recommendation from my surgeon's office. It has an aftertaste I am not digging. The reviews are all, "tiny" flavor. My butt! I ordered $60 of product. I will use it, but boo!

I just got some Isopure today. It is delicious. pineapple orange banana. I don't detect any lingering notes of nasty. I'm going to try their unflavored next, and see.

Don't do what I did, and go for the whole enchilada. Buy small amounts, and sample first, before any real investment.

Another question for February sleevers...how much time did your surgeon recommend taking off work? Mine said two weeks. I'm going to take 7 days completely off (surgery on a Thurs, so 9 days no work, just rest) and then work from home the following week (14 days total at home.) I hope that is enough time to heal before returning to the office. I am mostly at a desk behind a computer all day, so not too strenuous. Thoughts?

I went to several surgical groups to talk to people who have had sleeve/bypass. 2 of the girls in the group have desk jobs and they said they returned to work within a few days. I also have a friend who did sleeve and she was back at work in the hospital within a week. I guess it just depends on how you feel. But the consensus seems to be from those I talked to that it's pretty easy to get back to a job, especially one behind a desk. Good luck. 👍

I don't work and stay busy at home; but speaking for myself, if I did work I'd feel perfectly fine going back tomorrow (surgery was Wed 5th) my real only restriction was not to lift over 10lbs

I think staying busy helps so that's what I slowly plan to start tomorrow!

12 more hours to go until my surgery. I thought I’d be nervous, but I’m just excited! It might be hard to get to sleep tonight...

Just got word on Friday that surgery is Tuesday, Feb 18 at 11:00 am.

I am super excited but a little nervous about the clear liquid phase next Sunday and Monday.

I think I'm gonna be a hangry hungry lady. Any suggestions to keep my mind off food would be great.

Mine is tomorrow, too. My surgery is not until 2 in the afternoon. I feel like sleep is going to be pretty elusive...Best of luck to you! See you on the other side of this thing! :)

I also heard that you should really take the time you have available not to overdo it because it was major surgery, you don’t want to sabotage the process ...major adjustments to a new journey with health and wellness. I personally think that if your incisions haven’t healed on the outside, there certainly are not healed in the inside. Good luck to everyone recovering. Protect your investment...and that is you ❤️

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
