mom2amrt 9 Posted December 21, 2019 OMIGOODNESS!! I am soo sick! I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. Here we are, 3 months post op and I am still fighting nausea. I am scheduled to have another EGD on january 7th. Had one a month ago and had a stricture stretched. Back to nausea all the time. Every time I eat, when I dont eat... it doesnt matter...And there doesnt seem to be any safe foods. Im not getting in my Protein, lucky if even get 30 grams in a day. Have zofran, take max doses and it isnt helping. At my whits end. Can anyone else suggest things to try? Im not a Dr. And I don't even play one on T.V. but that isn't normal and it could be just something simple like a stricture or an ulcer either way please call. Rckc270 19 Posted December 21, 2019 Have you tried ice chips. The last three days I’ve been real nauseous even just a sip of Water. This afternoon I tried some ice chips and that seemed to work. catwoman7 11,220 Posted December 21, 2019 I agree with the above posters. I had a stricture. It had to be dilated at 4 weeks out and again at around 8 weeks out (it was fine after that). Some people need even more dilations than that. The good news is, this might be the last time you have to do it - they're kind of rare after the first three months post-op.
