Yeah thought it was a mistake when the surgeon's office told me. But it's set in stone. Dr. Charles Huddleston in Cookeville, TN. Will be doing my surgery.

I've already went from 287 in August to 239 just cutting out sugars and breads. I have Diabetes type 2.

I mix the 25 grams protein isolate with Diamond Breeze unsweetened Almond milk 8oz, 2 teaspoons stevia/erithritol sweetner, and 2tbsp s Hershey's sugar free Syrup in a blender. Even my wife is drinking a glass full in the morning. She wouldn't touch the horrible flavored powders. I poured 5lbs of it in the trash.

The hardest thing about getting ready for the surgery is the counting down the days till surgery.

I'm one year post-op and re-dedicating myself to losing more weight as a New Year's Resolution in 2020 (already started my resolution early, last week).

It's hard. Keep up the good work.

I have ordered Kristin Lloyd's "Mindset Success," and the workbook. I intend to start working through these after the holidays, with the hope of really hard wiring my new lifestyle changes.

Think I'm gonna be ready for surgery. Going to my surgeon's office tomorrow. And to be a full mornings test at the hospital. It's getting closer. Took this picture for the surgeon's nurse.00000IMG_00000_BURST20191222161949904_COVER.jpeg

I hope as well that your RNY stays uneventful and fast pain free healing.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
