Lydarose 36 Posted December 13, 2019 Monday, December 16 for me with a RNY. I'm on day 13 of the pre surgury liquid diet. Just finished my last day of work for the year. Got all my Vitamins and post surgery Protein mixes. I'm a bit anxious, which is normal, but looking forward to getting on the other side of this. 1 Jess199029 reacted to this
fetchthis 12 Posted December 16, 2019 I just got my call last week and all approvals have come through. I already met out of pocket max earlier this year due to a knee injury so my WLS Team are being amazing and found a way to get me in before end of year when my plan rolls over. So 12/30 is the date... New Years present for me. I have been working towards this for awhile but it is still such a shock that it is actually happening. Setting the date really took it out of the hypothetical and dropped it right square into reality. I wish all you December folks the best. KristyHawaii 4 Posted December 17, 2019 I'm going in tomorrow, 12/17. I'm feeling a little panicky and am hoping I'm doing the right thing. I'm more concerned about making it through surgery at this point. I know the odds are "ever in my favor", but I worry about my daughter if something happened to me. 2 Lydarose and Jess199029 reacted to this
RedDackel 19 Posted December 17, 2019 All legit concerns and it comes with the territory. Surgery is scary and the permanency of this surgery adds to the anxiety. Know that you are doing this for your health and so that your daughter WILL have you around longer. Focusing on the health aspects eases my mind about the permanency - perhaps look to that if you are overcome. I'm betting by the time you see this, you will be recovering and a few days post-op! Best of luck! I go in for surgery tomorrow! We can commiserate our recovery together! Best, Red 1 Jess199029 reacted to this
KristyHawaii 4 Posted December 17, 2019 Hi Red: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I'm on my way in to the hospital in about half an hour. Let's check in with each other in a few days. Best wishes for a perfect surgery tomorrow and easy recovery! Kristy 2 Lydarose and Jess199029 reacted to this
