Water retention?

Hi,

I had. Some complications and will be on stage 1 diet longer than expected. Has any had experience with significant Water retention and what if anything helped?

I thought stage 1 diet was 5 days? What is the longest?

I gained 15 pounds of Fluid my 4 days in the hospital, it took 2 weeks to come off, it was frustrating, but once it was over, everything was fine!
