Hey, guys, I am on the mushy stage and am complete SICK of fish already. It's good and all, but I need something to break up the monotony. I am tired of canned Soup, oatmeal, etc. I want something that tastes GOOD!

What I wouldn't give for a big bowl of Zuppa Toscana and a hot bread stick!!

Well, how about some refried Beans with shredded cheddar heated in the microwave--yummy!

I also was allowed egg salad, tuna salad, and mashed potatoes. Sorry, thems the best I can come up with! :hungry:

I bought a $10 electric mini food chopper at the grocery store and it turns almost anything into a mushie! Tonight my husband made Pasta with chicken breast chunks and sundried Tomato sauce. I put it in that little chopper and in seconds, it was pureed and it tasted great!

I went with mashed potatoes, egg salad, Hormel turkey chili and pre-made Manwich. In fact, 7 weeks out and those are still staples for me. But you know, after 6 weeks on liquids (2 weeks pre-op Optifast, 2 weeks post-op clears and 2 weeks fulls) ..ANYTHING would've tasted good.

I am eating alot of FF refried Beans with salasa and shredded low fat cheese with cottage cheese on top instead of sour creme. AWESOME I tell you....yummy!!

Scrambled eggs with melted cheese is also a favorite.

I have a Magic Bullet that I use to make my tuna salad and chicken salad and they are also very good.

Mashed potatoes with shredded cheese,

Tomatoe Soup with a few oyster crackers that I let get soggy and really mushy.

Oatmeal, and also yogurt mized with cottage cheese for Breakfast are some of the things I have been eating.

You have to sometimes get a little creative....as Longhorn states you can eat anything that you puree.....so let your imagination run wild.

Just remember to eat high Protein low fat and watch your calories.

Hope that helps some!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
