BQT 14 Posted December 7, 2019 What symptoms are you experiencing? For me,I had the band 12 years and started to experience: major cramps and bloating . For the last two years I’ve gone back and forth to the doctor and had pelvic and abdominal ultrasounds . I got tested for gluten intolerance etc. my doctor finally concluded that I have Irritable bowel syndrome. I never thought even once that this could be related to my band. Over the last two years, the symptoms increased from debilitating stabbing pain than would occur anywhere from my abdomen to lower bowel region near my ovaries once ever month or two to twice a week!! I just had my bad removed and 8 weeks later , not one incident! I never my symptoms listed under the complaints that others list when wanting their band out ... so I just thought I’d share Incase someone else is in the same boat. Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted December 8, 2019 So the pain and issues were from IBS or actually issues due to the band slipping or intolerance to the whatever the band is made up from?
BQT 14 Posted December 8, 2019 I don’t think it was ibs, but that’s what the diagnosis was... stabbing pain, cramps , bloating. Band out and problem solved!
Jack 855 Posted December 11, 2019 After 10 years had increased gagging slimes & stuck randomly issues. Lengthy studies with diagnosis of sluggish motility, perhaps Barretts Esophagitis. Took out fill, reduction of Cx to few episodes yearly. No solid decision to remove. Yet.
