Even when your eating right the pantry still affects your health! Sorry losin

Ok Week 6 Workout 3

25min run. (I hate the word Jog)

I actually enjoyed it, it was a rush doing it today. I had read about ppl really enjoying running but i never thought it would happen to me. I had a great time with it today! Weird!

Here is the pic 5min warm up walk was good for about 0.25 miles so on here i actually ran for a full 2 miles! Run was 4.5mph (felt i could go quicker but dont want to overdo it). Walk was 3.6-4.0.

:cry

Better to rest it now than have bigger problems and longer healing later on... but you know all that!!

Feel better.

It is freaking freezing here. I have to find a workable solution to my temperature dilemma. I am going to run for 20 minutes on my mini trampoline, but am worried that this is not a good substitute. It feels hard and increases my heart rate. I really do not want to join a gym!!!!

great job whosya!

did week 3 day 2. I think I may have to repeat this week. Still not certain. I may try the week 4 day 1 on sunday and if I can't do it, go back to week 3. Running still feels so foreign to me. Ran without my headphones today and it was harder just listening to the soft music in the gym mostly drowned out by the treadmill.

great job whosya!! I am so worried about week 5 workout 3 the 20 minute run. I hope i can do it.

My shins are better since i've slowed things down. I am still running most of the time at 4.5 and am now a 1.0 incline. I think i'll just focus on speed and incline after I can run the 5k.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
