Did you use your spirometer when you got home to exercise your lungs? I was very winded for about the first week out. It was from the anesthesia. It should improve greatly for you as you recover.

Hang in there.

Hey hot chocolate. I also felt winded about a week after my surgery so it may be just from your body going through the procedure. What helped me was using my incentive spirometer to help my lungs expand. 4 weeks post up and that feeling is gone. I'd say it went away within a couple weeks, but definitely listen to your doctor!

I started feeling winded/exhausted a few weeks post op. B12 injections, nasal spray or sublinguals helped tremendously

The spirometer is absolutely important most might not feel like it but that really really does help. I have cramping every time I would breathe and was constantly winded just walking for a few mins. Vitamin D for the energy and B12!!!
